dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this undertaking is to: Assist a team lead by cultural representatives of the National Park Service, Southeast Archaeological Center with 1), the recovery of the ~23-foot dugout canoe discovered off Hog Key, Ten Thousand Islands District, Everglades National Park, 2), the packaging and transportation of the canoe to the Conservation Research Laboratory at Texas A&M University, 3) the stabilization the artifact and, 4), to provide assistance with the fabrication of a display cradle and its installation at the NPS Visitor Center.
